Accessory Accessory refers to a person who intentionally helps another commit a felony by giving advice before the crime or helping to conceal the evidence or the perpetrator. An accessory is usually not physically present while the crime is being committed. For instance, hiding a murdered who is being chased by police might make you an "accessory after the fact" to the murder. Compare accomplice.
