Arrest Warrant Arrest warrant is a document issued by a judge or magistrate that authorizes the law enforcement officers to arrest someone. Arrest warrants are issued when law enforcement personnel present sufficient evidence to the judge or magistrate that convinces the judicial officer that it is reasonably likely that a crime has taken place and that the person to be named in the arrest warrant is responsible for said crime.
